Hi all, I’m hoping someone will be able to advise me re a request I’ve had from my dad recently.
My parents have both lived in Spain for the past 8 years or so and they speak relatively good Spanish, but this doesn’t stretch to explaining medical conditions to a Dr, or understanding any diagnosis or medical advice.
My dad is keen to get hold of a medical encyclopedia or reference book (as opposed to a dictionary - something that describes symptoms and medications etc, not just translates individual words). The only ones I can find are written for health professionals who want to better care for Spanish-speaking patients. If these books are all that are available, then they’ll have to do, but if anyone is aware of something better (i.e. aimed at a layperson not a Dr), please let me know.
FYI, online resources are no good because they live out of range of internet access in the mountains - it has to be a book!
Thank you in advance for any advice you can give…
