Visa question (or am I in wrong section)

I don't seem to have access to some of the forums, so I will enquire here if it's ok?

Does anyone happen to know, if I am a UK citizen and my Russian wife has a UK permanent residence visa, does this make her Spannish visa application any easier, or maybe not even need one?

I cant seem to find a direct answer on the net, thanks in advance
