First posting, and a bit of a last resort.  I was diagnosed with Epilepsy whilst living out here and have found the neurologists to be shockingly bad, I’ve been through several.

My big seizures have been controlled to a certain extent, but the smaller ones which I have several times every day are running riot and ruining my life.  Has anyone had any dealings with a good neurologist, I have private health cover with Sanitas, so you would think I would be getting the best, after all this is Bupa’s sister company!

I am in Murcia but would be prepared to travel for a really good doctor.

Please ask around, this could make me lose my life here in Spain after 7 years and have to go back to England and stay with my parents at the age of 40!!

I expect you would be allowed to select your own specialist under your Sanitas cover, so I would suggest contacting one of the Barcelona hospitals (Dexeus, for example) and make an appointment to see a neurologist there.
You could check with Sanitas (no doubt they have a helpline number you can call) and explain the situation and your dissatisfaction with the medical help provided so far.

Good luck
