i am getting the boot out of spain soon due a soon to be expired shengen visa on nov. 6. my spanish novia and i are wondering if we should try to get hitched in gibraltar as we are running out of time to do it in spain before i have to leave for 6 months. we should have all my paperwork from the u.s. embassy soon (appt. oct. 25th) and she has he documents ready now. is there an advantage to trying this as we are facing 6 months apart right now. is our marraige in gibraltar valid in spain?
please, we could use some advice from anyone who has done this or knows the ropes on this subject.
