Where/how can I get an original certified copy of my passport in Barcelona?

Go to your consulate.  If you are British then go to the British Consulate in Barcelona. They will copy it, certify it etc…for a fee. Fee is not much and you get several copies. You can even have the certification in Spanish or English, depending on who it is for.
