Hello All!  I am new to this site and am happy to say that I am a US Citizen with plans to marry a Spaniard.  I am in the US and flying to Barcelona in December (no special visa, just my passport = tourist visa), at which time we will be applying with the Civil Registry to get married.  Judging from all of the posts on this topic we will be waiting quite a while (e.g. 3-6 months), for the approval and subsequent date.  That being said, I was wondering if it will cause problems if I return to the USA for a portion of this waiting time or if it will be required, or advised, that I remain in Spain until everything is processed and completed?
