I am from the United States and live in Spain. My fiance is a Spanish legal RESIDENT (from Colombia). We are getting married in a few months. In 6 months he will become a Spanish CITIZEN. I know that marriage to a Spanish Resident does NOT give me residency. However, when he is a Citizen, can I then apply for Spanish Residency? Or is it better to wait until he is a citizen to get married? Thanks!
