If you?re having trouble finding teaching positions in Spain, one good and easy way to make contacts is to volunteer on some English speaking programs.  I managed to score some tutoring work to get me by, by going on a program with some Spanish business people.  Basically, you go away for a week to a small Spanish town to speak English with a bunch of Spaniards.  Your food and board is covered for that whole week (so it helps out a bit if you?re on a budget).  I had a great time, and met some really great people that have helped me out and I now consider my friends.
