IF YOU EVER GO TO MIJAS PUEBLO… visiting friends, etc… The town hall in their wisdom has made the top street in the village - Calle Largar del Palmar - NO PARKING for residents/everyone! So if you are visiting a friend, or have the misfortune to live there (this is a long street - 1.5km at least!) you now have to fight for a parking space at the bottom of the hill (if you can find one) and walk up! Apparently this is to encourage tourists to visit this mainly residential part of the village…. There are plenty of the ‘white washed streets’ for them already to see, without inconveniencing the locals! (I used to live in this street - and would now tell people to stay away. Whatever next?!) PS - You can still drive along it, drop your shopping off at least, but what is all this nonsense about?
