OK I’ve more or less sorted out how to buy a secondhand car. Doing the transfer oneself would be interesting but maybe for the next car I buy…
So the ‘jesters’, sorry gestors… can you tell me about them:
(bad joke probably made many times before)

i. is it advisable to use the seller’s gestor,
ii. more or less how far in advance do I need to book a gestor if I use my own,
iii. what happens if I don’t want to buy the car and the gestor is not needed,
iv. do they make an HPI type check for outstanding debt and fines (I think it’s called an ‘informe’),
v. more or less how much are they,
vi. is there a list of registered gestors in Spain, and finally
vii. what is your experience of using them?
