I saw some posts regarding the marriage system in Spain but was not completely satisfactory for me. The topic says something of our intention but I will explain below:
I am a Nepali citizen living in Nepal and my GF is Spanish living in Spain. We are planning to get married whenever it is possible / I mean to say as soon as possible. But both of us are a bit confused about the procedures of it. We are thinking of getting married in Spain as she couldn’t come to Nepal due to vacation problems with her job. I probably need to go to Spain and we will get married in the civil office [not sure if the name is correct but it won’t be religious marriage]. We are thinking that I may need to obtain the tourist visa and go there and get married. Now, we are confused what should we do!
My questions are:
01, What documents will I need to show in the embassy in Kathmandu? I mean there is not Spanish embassy in Kathmandu and French embassy takes care for the visas to Spain. There is consulate of Spain in Kathmandu but they do not do any visa related works.
02, If possible then we will surely get married in Spain in Madrid. But how long it will take? Where should we go? What are the procedures to get married? How long it will take? What documents do I need to take from Nepal? I would appreciate if someone can supply me the list of documents that I need to take from here.
03, Once we get married should I apply for the extension of my tourist visa or there are other visas that I can apply for. We are planning to live at least a year and obtain the residential permit for me and then both of us will come back to Nepal.
04, My GF is aged than me [about 7/8 years], will it affect the permissions / procedures or something?
05, We met 3 years ago and then never met. I had my own busy life and she had her own busy life. We had so many conversations over the internet, phones etc and we tried to be together even through internet. Will it affect to prove our relationship?
