Hola,
I am interested in doing the TEFL-in-Spain course in Granada. I was told that, upon completion of my course, I would get a job offer, and with that job offer, would be able to obtain a work permit. I have heard from some people that I can only apply for a work permit in Spain in the US (being an American), which would mean I would have to make a trip home (a huge pain). However the representative with whom I spoke said that it would also be possible to apply for the permit at the American consulate in Spain. I know I'm not the first person to have had this idea, so I am wondering if anybody had any experience in this area, and could attest to whether or not it is indeed possible to apply for the permit/visa at the American Consulate in Spain. Thanks! -Ryan

Might be an idea ot contact the American Consulate in Spain directly and ask them.
Here is the Embassywebsite
http://spanish.madrid.usembassy.gov/
You could get a list of their Consular Offices from them.
