Hi,
I’ve been living in the Canary Islands the past several years and am resident in both London and the Canaries.
Taking into consideration recent changes in the UK legislation for obtaining a driver’s licence, can anyone please advise as to where would be a better place to learn and obtain a driver’s licence: London/UK or the Canaries? I have never had a driving lesson before.
I have spoken to an Italian national who also spends a lot of time in the Canaries, and he’d told me that the rules are a bit different from those in mainland Spain.
I speak Spanish, though it’s not quite as good as my fluent Italian and have found a driving school with an English-speaking instructor in the Canaries.
Pro’s/con’s, views, advice most welcome- esp. from anyone who’s recently taken a driving test in both the UK and the Canaries!
Thanks,
Patricia.
