My Husband has been offered a job in Gibraltar. We have been trying to move to Spain for years now so are happy that this opportunity has arisen.
We have been to this area a few times (we usually stay in Nerja or Costa Tropical) and stayed in La Duquesa and Estepona so we visited places like Sotogrande, Alcaidesa, La Linea but never really explored residential areas as we didn’t expect to be moving to this area.
We are aware that this part of the Costa del Sol is alot more developed and crowded than the areas we are used to and there are alot of half built developments etc so we would really appreciate some ideas of nice towns and/or urbanizacions within 40 mins of Gib, either on the coast or inland where we would be less likely to encounter overdevelopment…if there is anywhere?
We would like ideas of places that also aren’t too britishafied, where we can still enjoy the real Spain feel.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
