Hello all!

This is my first post! I apologize if some of these questions have been discussed before: I searched and read a few threads about having dogs in Spain, but I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for. I am hoping to get some info before we move there with our dog in August.

Are there ANY dog-friendly beaches or parks in Barecelona? So far I’ve read that there are none. :( If so, is this heavily restricted? For example, I am from San Diego, and many of our beaches do not allow dogs, but people take them there after dark and no one minds.

I read that Parc Guell, Parc Collsera, and Parc de la Barceloneta allow dogs. Any others? Ideally, we would love an area where she can chase a ball off leash for a few minutes a day.

We always walk our dog with a leash, but is this law in Barcelona?

Finally, can you take the metro or the bus with a dog? If so, does it have to be in a bag? We’ve stuffed our poor pup in a bag before (when we lived in Argentina) so I know we can manage, but I think our dog would prefer this to be unnecessary. haha
