Thanks for your patience with our following questions. Looked all thru your Tech forums and unable to find answer. We will be travelling to Spain in a couple more weeks and we are new to the 21st century (obviously!). We have a new Tablet we will be travelling with and we have not yet gotten ‘bundled’ so we initially thought that we could find enough free WiFi spots. We had an option which we chose to get WiFi in the car we rented from EuropCars at the Barcelona Airport. But on second thought,
Will the WiFi work in France if we take the car there?
Do we need an account with a provider to link with this WiFi?
Will copy these questions to EuropCar as well, but hopefully someone on this forum knows the answers. Again, thank you!

Hi, great question. Having WiFi attached to your rental car sounds like an interesting feature of Europcar’s product. While travelling, you’ll probably find that most of your hotels have adequate internet access. For navigation on the road, I’d suggest that you’d consider requesting a car with a built-in Navman. You might need to pay a bit extra for lower model cars, however if you’ve got a more upmarket model, it might be included in the price. If you need WiFi on the road, I’d take a look at picking up a cheap pre-paid sim card when you arrive. That way you can use it wherever the tablet goes and it’s not just attached to the car. When moving through Europe, most carriers have agreements with telecoms in other countries, so data access shouldn’t be a problem - you’ll probably just get charged a slightly higher rate while “roaming”.
