Anyone in Costa del Sol?

Hi I'm new here. We are moving to the Costa del Sol in November. I have been told elsewhere by some negative people that it is too hot in July/August and they wouldn't dream of living there!

As far as I have been able to research, those are the two most uncomfortable months of the year, and it can get chilly in Dec-Feb, but not as bad as here in the UK!

Can anyone help dispel my fears regarding the heat? There must be some expats living inland in the Antequera region, let's hope you find this and reply! It is very unnerving to be this far down the line with preparations, and for people to instill fear in you.

Thanks in advance from a worried lady!

Hi... CDS coastal Summer temps can be hot but are rarely unbearable Expect around 30c average.
Winter temps also far more equitable than the uk say 15 -20c average.
Inland however is a much different story... Cordoba. Seville Granada and Antequera (since you mention it specifically) can and regularly do reach very high temps during the Summer, 40c is by no means uncommon. Similarly expect at or below freezing temps on a par with or lower than the UK...
