hi just wondering if anyone has found work picking the olives? how much do you get paid? how do you go about getting work?
Ill be moving to Jaen region (olives everywhere lol) hoping to find a job like this until we settle in and learn the language more.

Since no one has responded to you, these are just my thoughts:

I know nothing about picking olives (only grapes), but you may not find it that easy to get a job that actually pays something acceptable.  I say this because you often hear on the news how the fruit farmers are using cheap labour from Romania and Africa to harvest their fruit.  I could point you to some references with regards to this, but there all in Spanish.

Yes I agree with Don Carlos - I would say that to think of making money out of olive picking is extremely optimistic. I understand that people owning all sorts trees and vines get them picked for free by local co-opratives in return for some of the end product. good luck!
