My name is Owen Jones and yes, I am Welsh; my wife’s name is Neem. We arrived a few weeks ago from Thailand where I spent 12 years living in her northern, remote village.

While there, I started writing novels, which can be found on many platforms, such as Amazon. There is another writer there with the same name, so it is easiest if you include a few words of the title of my first novel called ‘Behind The Smile’.

We have an apartment in Fuengirola and are going for NIE, but we still don’t have health insurance - our next major task. Unfortunately, the ones recommended by Google on this site seem to be the most expensive you can get, so suggestions as to local companies offering the service would be most welcome.

Perhaps when we are insured and have the correct papers, I will be able to get back to writing, but at the moment, there is just too much else to get on top of.
