Hello all,

Im just doing abit of research here and was wondering if anyone had any feedback on banking in Spain for me, as im sure most ex pats on here who live over there do hold bank accounts, possibly loans and mortgages etc.

The reason i ask is i am about to move to Calpe, Alicante and will be working for a banking company over there, my job will be to take care of all ex pats who have accounts or wish to open accounts or any other financial transactions.

So, in the vast ex pat opinion we have on here, would you think that a brit working for banks in ex pat areas of spain would be a help? Would a native brit working in a bank make you more likely to deal with that bank? How many banks that you currently deal with have brits working in them in order to help the expats with their dealings?

As i say, any feedback would be appreciated, more than anything just for my peice of mind, so i know that the job i ve been given to do will be of some help to some people.

P.s please dont scare me with any negative comments, haha.

Thanks, Michael
