Hi Folks,

Househunting from thousands of miles away has a lot of disadvantages, so I hope that some of you already out in the sun or simply better informed than me might be able to help with this one.  We are interested in the Southern Costa Blanca area, but having enough trouble learning castellano, so I want to find out whereabouts/how far north we can go, and not have to cope with learning Valenciano as well?  We will be needing to engage with schools etc, and coping with one new language will be hard enough!  I have noticed on maps that Alicante and Elche have bilingual names, but Murcia doesnt, so I am guessing there is some kind of boundary between the two where the Valenciano fades out (and specifically isnt the main teaching language).  I would be really grateful for anyone who could shed some light on this for me!

cheers,

Cazz x
