I have just been advised that because my partner and I are both full time residents in Ireland we will be unable to get married in Barcelona in March next year like we had planned.

If anyone can give me any advise or other ideas I would be extremely grateful!

Did you talk to the Barcelona Civiln Registry? Who gave to you that information? Fulfilling the required steps there must be no problem about getting married in Spain.
