Hola a Todos.. Hello Everybody !!!

Greatly appreciate this Forum, very useful information… Thank You.  This is my first time posting and I have so much to ask, so please forgive me. My name is Aleida, we are a family of 3 looking forward to moving to Barcelona from San Diego, California by end of August 2008 and live life !!!.  My husband and I are both professionals, we own and manage a Computer Networks Consulting Corp (self -employed).  US citizens of latin descent so we are fully bilingual. We have a 10yr old daughter. We are in need of information,  as to what is the process to bring your own company, what kind of documentation is required (visas, permits, legal representation, etc).  Where are the best neighborhood to live that are close to schools, businesses. entertainment , etc..

I know that I have barely touch the surface .... your time and imput is greatly appreciated.

Hola Aleida, before we get into a DYI solution for you and your company, I think you’re in a great position to take advantage of Strong Abogados’ services. One of the owners is American - great people. They specialize in helping companies start up in Spain and will definitely help you with the immigration issues. They live in Barcelona and would have some good insight into where to live in Barcelona for you as well.

Hi Aleida, Since you and your spouse read and understand Spanish, unlike many of the users on this site, you could also consult the database of legal consultations on migrar.org.  You can search by topics: Residencia, Trabajo, etc.

The best thing is that it is FREE..  Gratis…

😊
