he what i found about the place on Spain tourism site
http://www.spain.info/TourSpain/Destinos/TipoII/Datos+Generales/N/MH/0/Alcala+de+Henares?Language=en
This town near Madrid, birthplace of the illustrious Miguel de Cervantes, author of ?Don Quixote?, and home to one of the most prestigious universities in Spain, has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its rich monumental heritage, formed by churches, convents and university buildings, gives us a glimpse of life in Castilia during the Spanish Golden Age. Its historic quarter also has the ?Mes?n del Estudiante? Inn, which is part of the network of Paradores de Turismo. Walls with four hundred years of history make the perfect place to sample the best of the local gastronomy.
would say you have no problems there

I got the Vodafone 3G wireless system. Its just a small modem you connect to your pc or laptop so you can get the internet virtually anywhere in Spain. Just pick one up at your local Vodafone dealer

I agree that downloads are slow but I've only had a little trouble with it dropping out. That use to happen when I was on NTL/Virgin broadband back in the UK too so this doesn't seem any worse than that was so far. (I've had it about 6 weeks)

There are a number of issues here to look at.
Can you get a Telefonica Telephone Line, you can ONLY get a telephone line from Telefonica in Spain at present, as no one else actually has infrastructure in Spain at this time.
Well not to residential clients. We have and others like us, have their own infrastructure, but it is for our own Wifi / Wimax system, which we then give to our clients.
Is there a Company in your area who supply Wifi Internet Access.
Or Broadband / Internet Access via Satellite for those who can't get anything at all.
We can provide any system to any person in any place in Spain.
