Cheapest way to call UK MOBILES from Spain?

Hi shotmillions, i did have the same problem with expensive telphone bill via moblie that befor in Spain and across Eu

So if you got VOIP you can make a call from About 2cent per min to any landline and moblie phones outside spain and in side spain aswell

the telphone company are very missleading in spain with cost per min (as not per Sec calls ) and not print tarifs in multilanguages for expats

compare to 49 cent per min on leading phone company in spain

Voip will need some sort off computer and the net

If you find Voip is not working - and you still need to call - from fixed line (assuming you have one as you say you have broadband) - BT Espana do landline to UK mobile at 21 cents a min. Not as cheap as some others... but good back up if you need it. PM me for details if ou want.

Calls from Spanish BT mobile to UK mobile (if you were stuck again - and had to make that call) - if on a plan that includes this as one of your most called internation nos then - 45 cents connection and 10 cents a min - yes! just 10 cents a min! But if not on this international plan - and just 'normal' tarrifs with BT Espana (mob) - then 45 cents connectiong and 45 cents a min.

I use Skype for all my calling, even better if your friend has Skype also and then you can talk for free.

I have a Skype Dual Phone so it can be connected to the Telefonica line and the PC and then you can pay through your Skype account or use the phone as you would your standard line.

I have many friends and business colleagues who have Skype so our phone bill is very low, around ?50 a month

Have you tried DialAbroad's new Euro service - good rates, especially to mobiles at 15 eurocents/minute (I dial UK mobiles a lot).

I use Manifone to call UK. Works with every operator, its cheap and reliable. You only need to register your number and the destination number, after this you get a local number, which you dial on your own phone to get connected to the desired destination. For e.g. to UK mobile: 0.19 ?/min, landline: 0.03 ?/min.

50 a month ?? Wow..

I guess it maybe low, but I would rather use the broadband line and use Skype/Yahoo to call ALL my mates.
If I had to call numbers, I'd top up my Skype account..

Here's my setup:
I have a broadband router with a Linksys PAP2T Voip box plugged into it. Then into the voip box I have a standard telephone plugged in.
I have a voipcheap account, where I paid ?1 to get an english voip in number.
I can now make free calls (upto 5 hrs a week) to any landline in the uk (and many other countries too).
My friends and family can call my number at standard uk rate.

The voip box is a little tricky to set up for novices, but once done it works like a standard telephone.

By far the cheapest way to call is VOIP vonage system. They charge a standard fee of either ?5.99 per month or ?7.99 per month depending on what package you go for. This then gives you FREE UNLIMITED calls to landlines in UK (and 15 other countries if you have the ?7.99 package!) Charges to mobiles are certainly the cheapest I have found - Calls to UK mobiles are 12p per min.

Vonage are currently promoting their services in Spain and are offering some special offers for anyone wishing to sign up. I have certainly never looked back! For more info see the website talkmorepayless.com which lists everything you need to know or PM me.

I use www.jajah.com and find them very good for making international landline/mobile calls and the first 5? is free so its worth it to sign up for the free credit if nothing else.
