I tried finding a one way hire van UK to Spain and it was either no go or hugely expensive as they would have to repatriate the van themselves. I tried finding a hire van in Spain to drive to UK and back but they wouldnt lett heir vans go an any ferry so I was stumped. You either hire a UK van and drive both ways or get a removals company to do a load or part load for you. That is what I ended up doing with a small family firm in Tiverton Devon and they were excellent both in terms of reliability and price.

OK, but as a rough guide for 10 cubic metres in a largish van you will have ferry costs, fuel costs, hotel and food costs and your own time. It all mounts up and maybe 100 pounds per cube is not so bad really.
