Is it worth bringing a surfboard to Barcelona?

I'm a beginning surfer, and wouldn't want massive waves anyway. It seems there are some surf spots in or near Barcelona.
Any thoughts?

Shale, my husband left his surfboard in Venezuela and switched to windsurfing when he got here. Its a very popular sport, along with kitesurfing. And they say the adrenaline rush is much higher than just surfing.

Try kite surfing in the Costa Del Sol.
Tarifa is always ready, Estepona tends to be more irratic as is further along the coast towards Malaga.
