Ablout Ono….

Hi, I am new in Alicante and did subscribe to an Ono TV/Internet/Phone program. All included about 80 Euros a month. This includes 3mb
Internet, quite complete TV, with movies in English and foreign Cable News Networks. AND INTERNET…. The Internet was installed last Tuesday. The Install men did show me that the connection did work and left. I did check the wireless and noted that the line was not secure; This means all my neighbors can use my connection. A manual was not delivered and I did not know how to secure the modem, so I went to the Ono shop. The girl called a technician and did write the procedure on a piece of paper. It was quite simple, and as far as I know, I did exactly what she did tell me. The result was that I had no more Internet at all… But the story is not finish!
I did call the Ono technical support. My Spanish is not that bad, but the girl didn’t seam to understand the problem, so I did ask if they had support in English; they have…. The English-speaking guy seamed to know as much about Internet as my auntie, which is 99 years old. He just did repeat: ” Sorry Sir, we do not give this kind of support, if you want we send you a technician” They did hold me for 15 minutes on the phone, which they charge per minute.  On the end I lost patience and hang up.  I went to buy me another modem router (Belkin) at Mediamarkt, which is cheaper as to pay their Technical support. The configuration was easy. Everything is working now.
I have to add that the Internet connection is kind of slow; they also seam to cut the connection off when I use Skype and of course the support is absolutely lousy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ONO!
