Introducing myself!

Hello everyone,

Well, here goes. I have finally made the decision to move out of the USA. My parents have lived out of country for years, each in a different one and it took me just a few years to decide that that is the path I must follow as well!

I have chosen Barcelona Spain for many reasons and yet I feel I still know so little. Thus my coming here. I am hoping to make some friends, get some suggestions, some advise and just soak up the information.

I am hoping to be a business owner in Spain as I am here and one of my main goals is to learn Spanish so I do not have to rely on my english alone. The last thing I want to be is "that foreigner" but rather "that neighbor" or "that fabulous woman" *smile*

My plan is to save enough to satisfy the Spanish government, show proof my business can be run in Spain and find a great flat until I feel comfortable enough to buy something of my own.

I want to thank the owner of this forum for bringing so much information out to those of us who are truly clueless.

I look forward to learning more and hoping to be an informed new resident within five years.
