Any leisure/activity groups for singles over 50 in Spain…...preferrably on the Costa Blanca?

Hi
I’d be really interested in knowing if there are any organised groups for people like myself, who are not really interested in dating, but would love to meet other singles around the same age.

Thanks for reply Judyr.  Preferrably, anywhere between Valencia and Calpe.  As regards looking in the local papers, which Robi suggested, I’m afraid most of the leisure/activity groups are very much centered around couples here in Spain.  Whilst I enjoy the company of couples, it would be nice to meet up with other solos…....‘all in the same boat’ so to speak.

The Gandia Social Club, although not specifically aimed at singles, have quite a few single people at their events. From memory, they have a walk every Wednesday in summer (meet in a town, walk around the area). They also play petanqua on Thursdays and arrange evening meals out once a month. My single mother-in-law goes to some of their gatherings and I’ve tagged along when I’ve been out to visit. They are a really nice bunch of people and very friendly

Edit to add - they have a website. They do much more than I thought!
