We have made our residence application and everything is Ok, but one document ? birth certificate of my 4-year-old stepson - has to be legalized by the ?Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores? in Madrid. In order to be able to this, it is necessary to ask for a ?Cita? per Internet. They gave us 10 days to deliver the document, but there are no ?Citas? available for at least the next two weeks. So actually there is an impossibility to fulfill the requirement, which is only the fault of the Spanish administration. I don?t know what to do about this. We had so much trouble and costs to get all the papers together, that if we have some more difficulties because of this, we will probably decide to leave Spain.  On top of this, our legal situation is actually so, that we are entitled to be resident in Spain by the agreements between our respective countries!!
Any hint about this “Citas per Internet” would be very apreciated. The page is located at http://www.maec.es/es/home/Paginas/HomeEs.aspx  click on Cita Previa para Legalizaciones e Informaci?n and follow the links. I did try for 4 days, but there was never any “Cita” available.
Thanks

Hi. I’m trying to make an appointment online for pareja de hecho through the British embassy . They make it so difficult . I’ve been on http://www.gov.uk but when I went to the embassy they were of no help and just told me to go to the same web page. We have an appointment on 12 September 2013 and have the other documents we need, but just need a certificate of no impediment. Hope you resolved your situation. My Spanish fianc?e and I are trying to stay in Madrid. I’m British.
