I am hoping to be able to live in Spain for 6 months later on this year. I should have sufficient funds (I hope) approx EUR1,000 / month for the said period, but whilst there, I would also like to teach Spanish as I would be considering doing my Masters in 2 years time-

However, I am a Zambian citizen residing in Zambia, I have been advised that I can only apply for a visa in Zimbabwe (where the Embassy is) however, due to the current situation there, their phone lines and e-mail addresses are all down so I can’t call them to confirm what documentation I require, how long it will take as well. Has anyone else experienced a situation where the advised country to apply to is impossible, is there a way to get a permit through the South African embassy or just any alternative really???
