Permanent residency

I think I read somewhere that once you have been resident for 5 years you can apply for permanent residency.
Has anyone done this ?
What are the advantages ?

aha , the advantage is you dont have to visit the immigration office ever year 😊 instead every 5 years 😊

Well worth reading. Just remember for any tax benefits you have to fiscally resident ie Pay tax in Spain and make a declaracion (Tax Return)
