I have a fully trading UK Ltd company but live in Spain. I have had the company documents stamped by Aposilte of The Hague and a UK Notary and they are being translated at present to open a Spanish bank account. I have been informed I need a CIF number for the company but do not know how to obtain one of these. Can someone please advise me how this can be done and if there are any costs involved. Thank you in advance.

I recommend speaking directly to a lawyer. There is so much red tape and it can be very hard to get any sense out of anyone. Which area are you moving to? I can recommend an excellent guy in Barcelona.

Hi Mavs,
you'll need a representative office or set up a branch office in Spain, It depends the types of activity of your company.
