Has anyone here ever had experience of taking legal action against Iberdrola and if so, can you recommend a lawyer?
This needs to be in the Alicante area.

Despite my neighbour having mains electricity and Iberdrola saying that I can be connected (it’s a new build, completely legal and fully certificated), they can’t get an engineer to come and do the job.
One who did survey the job never came back, can’t be reached and I don’t know why.

This has been dragging on for months now, with no prospect of a conclusion in the near future.

Alternatively, can anyone recommend a reliable electrical engineer in the area, who works with/for Iberdrola?
Thanks in advance!

I can recommend a solicitor, he has an office in Javea - Martin Hayes, his website is http://www.povedahayes.com, he is Irish but totally fluent in Spanish and also has a Spanish partner in Angel Poveda.

Don’t get involved with expensive legalities with Iberdrola you won’t win and it will take years.

If you are sure that you have the correct papers to get a connection persevere with them or contact your builder or agent to help you.
