I am German, living in Spain and my partner is Indian, still living in India.

We both got married in Canada last month (same sex marriage). Now my partner wants to live with me in Spain.

What steps do we have to follow?

We are not Qualified to give Visa Information for Spain… As we are not Customs or the Spanish Government.

as mac has sayed but why not pop down to your Embassy and ask there ...... law in the Eu zone been changed and are been inforced

I’m not sure if Spain recognizes same sex marriages, does anyone here know? But if they do you could just do one of those “reuniting family” visas.  Go to your Spanish consular’s Web site and it should have the list of the types of visas.

Obviously this person knows we’re not an official source,  he just wants some advice! That’s what this forum is for. Hence its called “legal issues in spain.” I don’t think any of us here are lawyers.. just people who can share our personal experiences and research that we’ve found. There are a lot of things on this site that the Spanish officials won’t tell you..
