When I arrived, i didnt get my passport stamped.  I want to travel around non-EU countries a little bit and re-enter.  So doees that mean they have no knowledge of when I arrived?  So the 90 day tourist visa does not apply to me?

Need to contact your embassy and ask….

As even though its great that your here… but if something happens like accident etc or stop check its kind of an awkward moment with the Authoritys…

Today they brought a new thing…

If your an Illegal… You be burried in sand up to the neck while the spaniards play bowling! yeap its true! 😉

But on a serious note check your embassy as it may not show as they stamped but may be on the system etc….

So when i re-enter, they check this database?  Or do they only glance at the passport and give it a stamp if everything is in order?

I know some countries I have been to only look and stamp…

I am only saying check with your embassy as Spain is testing so many new things at the moment…

There really strict etc….

They should of technically Stamped your passport… but obviously did not…

If your within EU then they would not if your out of EU then yeap they should of given you 90 days visa..

I would side with Caution as Spain Is good at “2nd time around” if you get stopped etc…

hey thanks mac one more question…

ok, so say i had 90 days to be here and it started may 1-july31.  so starting august 1 i am illegal until ocotber 31.  then november 1 i am legal again?

so if i decide to live here ‘illegally’ for aug-october.  say i get stopped november 4, does that mean my 90 day visa is renewed november 1(even though i never left)?  or do i have to return to my home country sometime within aug-oct. what if i leave to non-schengen country in october and return to spain in november?

this makes sense what i am saying?

It makes perfect sense…

Your trying to stay here illegally and your asking people to help you get away with not having your Passport stamped.

All I will say in the matter… Rules changed in May 2009…

Fine

The above is when you get caught… As your in Spain check out the news and see how many Police stop checks there is..

In Salou alone at any time they close the road in and out and stop cars people and ask for there ID and Passport…

CONTACT YOUR EMBASSY AND THAT IS ALL I WILL SAY IN THE MATTER!

I DO NOT CONDONE ILLEGAL MATTERS!
