I think one of the nicest things about living in Spain is being able to look at some of the most appealing gardens and patios imaginable. But many apparently beautiful homes have 2 or even 3 metre walls surrounding them; and high security metal doors. Is that a home or is it a prison?
I know there’s many who don’t want their garden activities ‘open to the public’ but surely discretion doesn’t require such formidable barriers? Why not choose a home that doesn’t front a highway? Staring out at walls like that from your windows must be a prison governor’s view of the world. No thank you.
