There is a company that is offering me a work visa. They have opened the job to Spain candidates and did not find anyone with the right qualifications, so they are able to offer it to me. It has been a long process and I asked for this originally actually. Problem is…I don’t want it anymore, but it’s too far into the process to back out and maintain good ties with the company…which I need to do. Soooo, my question is this:

Is there any way to sabotage my own work visa so that I would not get approved? (so that NOT getting the visa was something that happened ‘out of my control’ in other words?) What prevents someone from getting a work visa other than Spanish job candidates? (I don’t want to do anything illegal…)

I am not saying I want to turn it down…I am saying that I want the government to reject me for a work visa. I am aware my ‘problem’ is ridiculous, but nevertheless, I am still curious. They reject the majority of applicants…and obviously for reasons. So…how can I get them to reject MINE? Any thoughts?

MMMMMMMM

Last time I remember SpainExpat Is about giving the right advise and not the illegal advise…

If you do not want to work in Spain Turn down your offer and do not ask silly question about “How Do I get Out Of A Work Visa”

Sorry Just I am not a sort of person that takes the wrong side of the law I have always kept to the right side…(Especially Giving an Illegal Answer)

Best thing is To “Turn Down The Job”

Yes, I completely understand, the situation in Spain and even the rest of the world is terrible right now. But this job for the work visa, I get paid about 100 euro a week and work about 50-60 hours. You do the math. I do not think it’s sufficient to pay rent. If it is, I will very much like to take the job.

So, does anyone think that 100 euro a week will be sufficient to pay rent anywhere in the province of Girona? If not, I will have to move home either way. But in that case, I wouldn’t like to personally turn down the visa because I need this company for a reference to find another job. If I turn down the visa, I don’t think they will give me one. If my visa is rejected, then they would. Entiendes? This is the reason for my original question.

No, the company will pay for the work visa, and they have said it is around 450 euro per month (is this true?)...which incidentally is more than they are paying me. So for this reason, they have said that they will not be able to afford to give me a raise in my salary right away, but they will offer one eventually (when, I don’t know).

Hehe, Kag is on point here. 😊

Basically, they won’t approve a work visa if they cannot prove that you are qualified for it. Figure out what the qualifications are for the job, and then ensure that you can’t meet them.

Seriously though dude, 450/month is illegal pay. Get out of there.
