I am new to the site and am preparing for a temporary sabbatical position in Pamplona beginning this summer for just under one year.  As a US citizen, I am trying to figure out the best/cheapest option for transportation while we are in Spain.  Note—we are a family with three young children who require car seats so are looking for a relatively new, large vehicle.  I have had some email conversation with a Volvo rep. relative to purchase of a vehicle direct from the factory in Sweden, delivered to Madrid to be driven in Spain for up to 12 months on a Swedish export plate.  The vehicle must ultimately be exported to the US so no taxes are due in Spain.  Can anyone advise on this?  The Volvo rep seems unable to answer all of my questions.  I know of other Americans who have purchased via this program, but none residing in Spain.  Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!
