Hi,

Can anybody tell me how to obtain an NIE number for a deceased relative. My Grandad lived in Spain and left a Spanish will, unfortunately we can’t find out if it was registered properly and the latest obsticle that our Spanish lawyer has come up with is that we do not have his NIE number.

He has also advised that my Mother (in Spain at the moment) should fly back to Manchester to obtain a NIE number for herself. Reading some of the other posts she should be able to obtain this in Spain?
