Hi all, I intend to move to Barcelona come Sept to teach English as a second language (am CELTA certified). I only intend to stay for one academic year. I have done some research about Americans and work permits and understand the difficulty of obtaining a work permit. I know too that working illegally is dangerous, but not uncommon. Anyone thoughts? I’d love to hear from Americans who are in fact working in Spain and teaching English.

Thanks all.

Sincerely,
Margaret.

Did you not read the heading you posted in.

The title being “Real Estate/Property- Sale or Rent”.

Your in the wrong section for advice on jobs, moving to Spain and teaching.

Just thought I`d let you know.

Hi Margaret…

Where did you take your CELTA? In the states or in Barcelona/somewhere in Spain? Sometimes those programs can help you find work.

I can help North Americans and Australians get jobs in Spain with a student visa good for 12 months that allows you to work 20hrs a week at Language Academies.  it is a slow process but it works.  Planning is essential.  Contact me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
