I am not an EU national but I have a Permiso de Residencia. Can I go to France to visit my families who live there. They are not French/EU nationals but have Carte Resident(similar to Permiso de Residencia). If I can, how long can I stay with them? Is there a possibility of converting my Permiso de Residencia to Carte Resident of France. Thanks….

visa requirements depend on your citzenship and the resident permit that you hold.
the permiso de residencia is issued by spain after spain’s requirements are met.
the carte resident is issued by france after france’s requirements are met.
