Hi

Im sure this is pretty uncharted territory for most people but i would like some thoughts and advice.

The Spanish government has just announced that New Zealand passport holders will be able to apply for a working holiday visa for Spain as of next year. I was thinking about taking advantage of this visa to try and get my foot in the door, teaching English in Barcelona. However i could only work in spain for 6 months out of this year. What are the chances of getting hired if i am only available for half of the teaching year?

I was wondering what people thought my chances of getting a job teaching English under this scheme and getting the company i work for to sponsor me for a work visa, after the 6 months are up. What is it that makes companies so unwilling to try and get visas. If i prove myself as a competant employee in the six months would many companies be willing to take me on with a work visa, which could be processed over the summer months where no teaching would be taking place.

Any help or advice Would be much appreciated
