My friend from Holland has been living and working in Barcelona Spain for 2 years, his rental contract states that after 12 months he is eligible to rent a part of the flat legally to anyone, in other words a room that is free, i wanted to ask if this sounds right and if so does he have to have a contract and what if the person he rents to wants to rent for shorter then a year.
