It’s getting that time of year again and I’m getting a bit homesick so I wanted to make some good old American cranberry sauce but I have no idea where to find cranberries. I checked the El Corte Ingles gourmet and regular food sections (only because they are one of the larger supermarkets) and couldn’t find anything. I found cranberry sauce cans at The Deli Shop but it’s just not the same as freshly cooked sauce. Does anyone know where I can find them in Barcelona? Do they exist in Spain/Europe? Could it be too early in the season? Thank you!

This is always a tough one each year. Have you tried any of those ship-from-UK shopping sites? I won’t post any here, but I’m sure a quick Google search will find some for ya.

Hi - I had the same craving last year and found fresh cranberries at La Boqueria. They were not cheap but well worth it if you want to make fresh sauce. Don’t know if they have them yet but if not, they should in a few weeks. Look for them at the various fruit and veg stands at the front of the market.
