Hi All,

We are selling a secondhand (Spanish) car. We are not able to go to Traffico with the buyer, but have read that if we give her all the paperwork (and copies of same) together with a statement to confirm I allow her to transfer the car into her name, that this is sufficient.

The car and all the paperwork is legal and correct, there is nothing outstanding on it. Is there a form that we need to download/obtain?

Please can anyone confirm that this is ok and also what we need to do to ensure that we have proof that we have sold the car and are clear of all future liabilities?

Thank you,

Monty. 😊

Registration of the Change of Owner (Transferencia de Veh?culos)
Transfer of ownership is finalised at the Jefatura de Tr?fico. The buyer and seller may go together to submit paperwork, or do it individually. It is possible to visit the traffic office in person or to employ a gestor to do so.
