Are you looking for briefings because you want some more opportunities to post your affiliate signature link or what?

Any salesperson worth his salt would do the groundwork him/herself.

I came to Barcelona with a very good friend of mine and we stayed for 5 nights at the Ramblas Guesthouse. The room was very big and spacious and the furniture and interior design was warm and pleasant. The living area and kitchen were very nice and were fully eqipped. We made breakfast together in the mornings before heading out and as we were right in the middle of the city we managed to see so much of the city and could walk home safe late at night after being out.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cosy place to live and who wants to live up the Barcelona lifestyle!

Hi, I have only ever been to Barcelona for a week or so at a time, but I thought it was indeed very 'diverse' and 'cosmopolitan'. There is plenty to see and do and lots of art and culture. The Boqueria was fantastic - a humbling, bumbling open-air food market with a cracking atmosphere, selling all kinds of wonderful eats and drinks. You havent indicated if you are considering a move to Barcelona, or whether you are just thinking of a holiday / break there ? It's great for a holiday, but I'm not sure about living there. I guess that boils down to individual tastes. For me it would be too full-on, as would most cities. I prefer the calm and tranquil setting of the Axarquia region!

Hi all,

I was really impressed by Barcelona and the sad story is I lost my digital camera on my trip back home, I must have left it is some airport counter or something because nothing else was missing from my bag, the thing is the camera wasn?t a great expensive one, but the memory card had all my trip pictures in it so I couldn?t upload any of them into my blog. I don?t miss my camera I miss my memory card:confused:

Some suggestions: La Sagrada Familia temple, Hospital Sant Pau which a lot of people don't see; take the Avinguda Gaudi from Sagrada Familia straight there. Also El Palau de la Musica for a tour and concert. Quatre Gats for some history, food and drink. Carrer Montcada for the Museu Picasso, Xampanyet bar, and Santa Maria del Mar church (wine by the glass at the wine bar in front of the church). Passeig del Born for dinner and nightlife. Bari Gotico for a trip back in time. Visit the main cathedral and don't miss the cloister; see if you can find the little Plaza Sant Felip Neri nearby. The newly renovated Mercat Santa Caterina as well as the well-known Boqueria market on Ramblas. The Museu Maritim. Unfortunately the Palau Guell is closed. The Gaudi and other Modernist buildings on Passeig de Gracia. Nice walk: continue up Passeig de Gracia from P.Catalunya. Passeig de Gracia becomes Gran de Gracia. Continue all the way up to Plaza Lesseps. There you can visit the Gracia area or head to another location. Plaza Lesseps is a bus and metro hub.

...the Gracia neighborhood (metro: Fontana). The beach at Nova Icaria and the promenade that goes south along the water from there to Barceloneta (nice walk). A seafood dinner on a Sunday afternoon outdoors at a good Barceloneta restaurant (get a local recommendation). The used book and music sale at Mercat Sant Antoni on Sunday morning. The Magic Fountains at Montjuic. Also in Montjuic: the Caixa Forum exhibit center, the Mies Van de Rohe Pavilion, the Miro museum. A good Catalan meal at Can Culleretes on Carrer Quintana near Ramblas.

Taxi in Barcelona: All taxis are metered, with the current rates (2010) set at ?0.82/kilometre and a minimum fare of ?1.80, although this rate rises to ?1.04/kilometre and a minimum fare of ?1.90 between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. and all day Saturday and bank holidays can take pets for an additional ?1.

However, they always seem to be in short supply when you want to get home on a Saturday night and in fact you?ll need to spend quite a time at a taxi rank during any night of the week, let alone flag one down on the street.

Great place for a holiday or more permanent residence. Chic, cultural and very cosmopolitan - seems a very tolerant society. Often visit from France and enjoy the diverse architecture.
