Taking a tortoise back and forth to spain

We have an 8 yr old Mediterranean Tortoise which we would like to take with us to Spain, when we go for six months at a time. We travel by Motorhome but we have a house in Spain,
Can anyone tell me of their experiences of doing this and what are the restrictions/ problems
