hello all! i will be in spain late july and will be hoping to spick up summer work for a few months (longer if i can!) i have a UK passport so can work but have heard that a lot of the summer jobs are interviewed for in the UK? i will be coming down from germany (i will spend july travelling spain but will head to germany for a week with friends - so will be in spain for interviews etc early july) and am hoping to find a job, perhaps with accomodation.
if anyone has any info or can reccomend websites, would be so greatly appreciated!
would it be possible to turn up to a town and try to find work? or very hard in august as its mid summer and most jobs will be gone?
i am a teacher in australia and can teach english (or anything!), i can speak german, i can do any kind of work!
info would be great! thanks so much! jules

Before the crew gets here to go on and on about how difficult it is to find ANY work right now (unemployment for youth is around 50% or so I hear), let me point out that indeed there are jobs to be had, they're just very rare and difficult to find. If you want to work during the summer, they do English teaching Summer Camps all over Spain and hire quite a bit for that, starting May/June. So you'd have to be applying for those right now.
In general, everyone in Spain gets outta dodge in August for a month long vacation, so I'd reduce your hope of finding work during that month to nil, with the exception of getting lucky with a tourism-related job on the Costas or the Islands (lots of Germans in the Balearics).
